RabbitMQ should auto cleardown any un-used queues, however sometimes queues get missed and this can cause a build up of files. To resolve:

1) Go to the RabbitMQ mgmt interface http://localhost:15672

2) Login (guest / guest)

3) Go to the admin tab, and then select policies

4) Create a new policy with the below configuration:

5) Wait until the disk space is freed up (10-15 minutes) and then delete the policy by selecting it in the table and pressing delete policy

This maintenance work should be done out of hours to ensure continued service for the production system.
