Cannot access ABBYY FlexiCapture project, 401 (unauthorised)

Symptoms

Within ABBYY FlexiCapture (Verification Station) error pops up with the following error below:

The following error says "Cannot connect to 'http://servername' (error code: (HTTP 401, 18, 0)()."

Cause

"HTTP 401" is the internet's way of saying Unauthorised. This could be the authentication method isn't correct or the wrong username or password combination. 

Resolution

Within ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Verification Station. By clicking Connection settings button. Make sure your connection settings are correct. 

Make sure the "Use Windows authentication" button is ticked like below. This is something that is normally used.

If there is a specific username and password you should be using, press the "Define authentication parameters" button and check these are the correct details.

When this is done click the Test Connection button and this should come up with succeed.
