Symptom


Task scheduler notifies that the user configured to run the service does not have "Log on as match job" rights


Cause


User does not have appropriate local permissions

How to give a user Log on as a batch job rights

This describes on how to grant a user the Log on as a batch job user right. This user right allows a user to run tasks in the Task Scheduler when the user is not logged on.
 
Important: A user which belongs to the Local Administrators group already has this user right. 
  1. Go to the Start menu
  2. Type secpol.msc
    and press Enter
  3. The Local Security Policy manager opens
  4. Go to Security Settings - Local Policies - User Rights Assignment node
  5. Double click Log on as a batch job on the right side
  6. Click Add User or Group...
  7. Select the user
  8. Click OK
