There are a number of settings in FileDirector Enterprise Manager that setup default views. Namely:
- Client Configuration
- Cabinet -> Document Type -> Views
The settings in the above two sections control the layout of WinClient, and also the available fields.
These settings can be linked to specific users and groups.
Let's say user wfd\james.eastham is in group wfd\development and within enterprise manager, a highly customized view had been set up for all development users. If an active directory change was made to remove james.eastham from the development group, it could potentially have an effect in WinClient of completely changing the UI.
The same would apply if the domain was changed, say from wfd to workflowdoctor. FileDirector WILL NOT automatically update it's settings if the domain is changed.
